How to Use the Imagely Gallery

Imagely, formerly known as NextGen Gallery, is used to manage image galleries on your website. NextGen has rebranded to Imagely, so you will no longer see “NextGen Gallery” in the left-hand menu. Instead, you will see Imagely.

 

 

View Existing Galleries

  • In the WordPress dashboard, hover over Imagely.
  • Click Galleries.
  • Your existing galleries will be displayed on the Galleries page.

  • Go to Imagely and click Galleries.
  • Look to the left of the gallery name.
  • The number shown is the gallery ID.

For example, if the gallery name is Sample Rental Listings Gallery and the number to the left is 9, then the gallery ID is 9.

Find an Image Thumbnail ID

Image thumbnail IDs can be used for listing, market, or neighborhood thumbnails on the website.

  • Go to Imagely and click Galleries.
  • Open the gallery that contains the image.
  • Find the image you want to use.
  • Click the three-dot menu on the image.
  • Click View Meta.
  • Locate the Image ID.

  • Go to Imagely.
  • Click Add New Gallery.
  • Enter a name for the gallery.
  • Click Browse to select photos from your computer.
  • Select the photos you want to upload.
  • Click Open.
  • Click Upload.

After the upload finishes, the new gallery will open and display the images you uploaded.

  • After creating a gallery, go back to Galleries.
  • Find the gallery in the list.
  • Look to the left of the gallery name to find the gallery ID.

  • Go to Imagely and click Galleries.
  • Find the gallery you want to remove.
  • Click the Delete button for that gallery.

  • Open the gallery you want to edit.
  • Click Drag to Reorder.
  • Click and drag the photos into the order you want.
