How it Works
A few real estate board MLS® Systems do not provide agent IDs or office IDs (also known as agent codes and office codes) to power featured listings in IDX.
Currently, this situation occurs in these boards:
- California - Humboldt MLS
- New Jersey - Central Jersey MLS (CJMLS - Middlesex County)
- New York - Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY)
- Ontario - Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB)
- South Carolina - Hilton Head Island MLS (HHIMLS)
How to Show Featured Listings Without Office Name as Office ID
As a workaround to address this issue, you can use the name of your brokerage office in the agent ID or office ID fields to populate featured listings corresponding to your brokerage office, following these steps:
- Log into your IDX Control Panel.
- Click the Setup button at the top of the page.
- Select Account on the left of the page.
- Select MLS Setup under the Account header - a new page will open.
- Select the name of the MLS® System in the drop-down.
- Enter the name of your brokerage office in the MLS ID field.
* You will need to use the exact name of the office as it appears in the MLS® System data. Extra characters such as commas can result in the listings not populating.
* Please contact us for any assistance or to verify the precise office name in the IDX data. - Click the Add Profile button to save the update.
Populating featured listings corresponding to one agent or broker is not possible for these boards. (Exception: REBNY can use an agent's name in the agent ID field to populate that agent's listings.)
If the featured properties identifier has been set to agent and listings do not appear, please contact us (only iHomefinder staff can change the featured properties identifier from agent to office).
Please feel free to contact us if you need any assistance configuring this workaround.
